The Walking Map: A Field Guide to Decisive Leader
A single orienting map for BeADecisiveLeader.com—two doors (individual vs organization), the EDGE ladder from framework to tools to governance artifacts, and where to click first when tabs multiply.
You’re not lost—you’re one layer deep without context
Every week someone writes me some version of: I bookmarked a tool… then forgot how it connected to anything else.
Fair. The internet trains us to collect fragments.
Decisive Leader is intentionally layered: framework clarity, free instrumentation, long-form essays, enterprise governance artifacts, and human lanes when stakes deserve a human.
This essay is the walking map—the view from the lobby before you ride individual elevators.
Companion: the Predictive Execution episode What Decisive Leader Builds walks this same map in audio—subscribe at /podcast. The Bridge newsletter runs parallel weekly framing—/newsletter.
Two doors
Before URLs: which door did you walk through?
Door A — Individual. You’re carrying Identity / Self / Relationship / Career pressure in your actual calendar. You need language and lightweight structure—not another hype reel.
Door B — Organization. You’re wiring transformation, portfolio risk, or AI adoption. Shadow workflows and fuzzy accountability are the threat—not “lack of innovation.”
Most executives touch both doors in the same quarter. The site supports that overlap without pretending they’re unrelated.
Floor 0 — The frame
If you want scenario language before tooling:
Framework & Solutions maps common leadership friction through EDGE geometry—Identity, Self, Relationship, Career—and the strategic triangle that ties them together.
Floor 1 — Instrumentation (free)
EDGE Tools hub
This is the proof we’re not a motivational poster shop: diagnostics, matrices, sustainment, delivery tracking, estimation, relationship architecture, career dashboards, mentor voice channel (LTC Edge Voice), and more—organized by pillar with guided workflow on the hub.
Start here if Door A
Executive Strategic Roadmap Diagnostic — screened intake across pillars (not therapy cosplay).
Start here if Door B
Tactical AI Audit — blast radius, egress, financial impact, ownership—inventory before policy theater.
Floor 2 — Narrative depth
When you think better in prose:
Insights — long-form essays on decision debt, sovereignty, pillars, execution drag, and more.
Books — Decisive Edge trilogy when you want sustained lanes (career, relationships, life throughput).
→ /books
Floor 3 — Enterprise AI & labs
AI Command — Governance Kit — keynote-ready narrative, artifacts, Pre-Discovery framing for transformation—not slides alone.
Projects hub — concept labs (including Project Sanctuary) worth separating from core essays.
Floor 4 — Rhythm & community
Stay oriented without drowning:
The Bridge — weekly Strategic Briefing.
Predictive Execution — this lane in audio.
→ /podcast
Insights Hub — peer feed context linked from EDGE Tools and navigation when you want discussion adjacent to tools.
Floor 5 — Human lanes
When essays and worksheets aren’t enough:
→ /advisory · /speaking · /work-with-matthew · /contact
One action
Pick one URL and text yourself why:
- Person path: /ai-tools/diagnostic
- Org path: /tactical-ai-audit
Then bookmark /ai-tools—that hub is the honest answer to “what single link proves this isn’t noise?”
Home plate stays /.
